Introduction

Superlimão was entrusted by Desinchá to design its inaugural concept store, tasked with creating an immersive experience that embodies the brand’s ethos while functioning as a retail space. Situated on a small 16 square meter lot on Oscar Freire Street, the project presented unique challenges from the outset.

Vertical Innovation

With limited horizontal space, the solution involved crafting a vertical space that defies expectations. The experience commences on the sidewalk with a kinetic facade, initially appearing unassuming but gradually revealing intricate movements. Approximately one thousand aluminum leaves suspended within a concrete screen dance with the wind, evoking the canopy of a tree and casting an array of ever-changing patterns.

Engaging Design

Externally, the store exudes a conventional appearance, featuring light-colored wooden shelves showcasing Desinchá products and a countertop for tea preparation and sampling. Abundant natural light floods the space, complemented by lush greenery. All materials utilized are natural and authentic, mirroring Desinchá’s brand identity.

Playful Transformation

As visitors ascend a wide stairway, the store transitions from conventional to whimsical. The second floor unveils a surprising source of light—a vaulted ceiling adorned with over 50 mirrors reflects the vertical garden, creating a surreal atmosphere. Additionally, the mirrors redirect sunlight onto a colossal cold drip apparatus, offering a captivating visual display of the tea-making process.

Functional Ingenuity

Despite its compact size, the store maximizes functionality through creative solutions. Every nook is utilized for storage and equipment, akin to the interior of a boat. Notably, the bathroom is discreetly concealed behind a wooden panel on the upper floor. Moreover, a 24-hour vending machine on the facade enables customers to purchase Desinchá at their convenience.

Conclusion

The Desinchá Concept Store embodies Superlimão’s vision of small-scale yet immersive experiences, reminiscent of the brand’s iconic green boxes. Through innovative design and thoughtful execution, the store transcends its physical constraints, offering patrons a multisensory journey into the world of Desinchá.
