Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd, headquartered in Chennai, has reported its standalone profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter ended September 30, 2023.

Strong Quarterly Performance

According to the healthcare major, Apollo Hospitals achieved a standalone PAT of Rs 294.8 crore for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2023. This marks a significant increase from the PAT of Rs 279.1 crore reported during the same period last year.

Half-Year Results

For the half-year period ended September 30, 2023, the standalone PAT amounted to Rs 508.9 crore. However, this figure reflects a decrease compared to the PAT of Rs 612.3 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Revenue Growth

Apollo Hospitals witnessed growth in total income on a standalone basis during the third quarter, with revenue reaching Rs 1,931.1 crore compared to Rs 1,758.5 crore in the same period last year. Similarly, for the six-month period ended September 30, 2023, standalone total income rose to Rs 3,637.3 crore from Rs 3,298.7 crore in the previous year.

Expansion Plans

In a statement, Apollo Hospitals announced its expansion plans approved by the board, involving a capital outlay of approximately Rs 3,400 crore. The company aims to add 2,300 beds across eight locations over the next three financial years. The financing for this expansion will be through internal accruals and debt financing.

Commitment to Quality Healthcare

Prathap C Reddy, Chairman of Apollo Hospitals Group, emphasized the organization’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare services across India. He highlighted Apollo’s investment in advanced technologies and the expansion of existing facilities. Reddy also announced the establishment of new hospitals in Pune and Kolkata, along with plans for adding high-quality beds in strategic locations over the next three years.
